FlashTable - Designed for learning tables of information. For example, you might want to study several points about a list of drugs (mechanism, uses, side effects, etc.). FlashTable allows you to review any or all of these points. Also allows reverse quiz, giving the points until you provide the drug name. This version is fully functional and contains 50 drugs. EM Rules - A compendium of decision rules, calculators, scores and frequently forgotten tables designed for the Emergency Physician, but applicable to many other specialties as well. This is a free tool designed to help physicians risk-stratify patients and make point-of-care clinical decisions.

Archimedes - Archimedes is a must have for every medical professional! Forget having to remember complicated formulas, just enter the values and out come the results. An indispensable, at-your-fingertips resource!

Epocrates Rx - ePocrates Rx is the most popular basic drug and formulary reference for the PDA. It has concise and clinically-relevant drug and formulary information available.

Eponyms - Here's a list of 1,500 common and obscure medical eponyms (e.g., Rovsing's sign, Virchow's node) with descriptions. Freeware download, for both Palm and Pocket PC.

Palm EKG - A great guide to EKG interpretation, includes all the common arrhythmias - from Afib to Vtach. Free download, for Palm platforms only.

MedCalc - MedCalc is the most full-featured medical calculator for Palm OS (79 formulas and scores, localized for french and english).

Leaf - Reads in text outlines, transforming them into graphical “mind maps” of the information. A great way to study or to prepare for giving presentations. Incredibly simple to use.
